Student low-budget casual (yet formal) dinner party ideas?
I want to have about 10 people over for a mock-formal dinner party to celebrate my birthday. I was thinking a candle lit meal with platters of food such as pancakes or wraps with an assortment of fillings .. any similar ideas that wouldn’t cost a bomb please?
Ask everyone to dress up (formal) set your table with borrowed china (Or good looking fake stuff), Have a “waiter” serve the salad course at the candle lit table. (Salad is super cheap!), then bring on the entree! A beautiful silver platter filled with PIZZA, cheap and “mock” for sure. For dessert, cookies or sherbet.
