How do you get dark blue candle wax off of wallpaper?
My wall sconce broke and the wax is on my wallpaper- I tried to use goop but it took off some color on the paper.
First put some ice cubes in a zip-lock bag and run the bag over the wax to freeze and harden it. Once the wax is hard, it should be easy to peel off most of it – gently lift with a rounded butter knife.
Next, dampen a sheet of white paper, a piece of a brown paper bag or a clean towel. Put the paper over the stain and run a hair dryer (warm, not hot, to start with) over it. An iron should work here, too) As the stain melts off onto the paper, move the paper to a clean spot and replace it if necessary.
