My two kittens are farting a lot and have very soft poop is this normal?
I bought them three weeks ago from a shelter where they were eating science diet. I switched them over to Blue Buffalo Cat Spa Kitten formula which is supposed to be really good for them. Now they are excessively farting and their poop is very soft. Should I switch their food again? If so what is another really good dry formula?
The person who answered that the food is the culprit is absolutely right. Switching them over to a new brand of food suddenly can mess with their digestive system. Ideally you would want to mix small amounts of the new food in with their old food, gradually increasing the amount of new food for 10 days, until the are just eating the new kind. This will allow their system to adjust gradually, and no more runny poops or smelly farts.
