Looking for a specific Rum-ball recipe – made with cake and keeps outside the fridge?
I am after a fairly specific rum-ball recipe for my husband who is in the army.
It was made with chocolate cake crumbs, and kept well outside the fridge for a few weeks, so no cream etc. in it. It did not contain any fruit.
Does anyone have a suitable recipe?
It really does have to fit these requirements – obviously he has no access to a fridge so they need to keep well, and he specifically asked for one made with cake crumbs and no fruit.. his mother used to make them but no longer has the recipe.

Cake crumbs
Powdered sugar
Melted chocolate
Rum or rum flavor
Melt the chocolate,add it to your cake crumbs, add 1 Tbls of flavor, and add powered sugar until firm ,this will vary depending on how wet youre cake and choc is, I eye it and when you can make a ball with it,Its The texture of cookie dough, Make the balls roll them in your hands and dip into whatever you like ( cocoa powder, nuts,melted choc, etc) If your going to put them in melted choc ,refridgerate the balls first until hard then dip them with a toothpick inserted, I have a video on you-tube showing you how to do this,go to CDmagz and look there I have a few videos there on how -to!
