i want to decorate ornaments and give them as christmas gifts.what kind of glue works well w/plastic ornaments?
im having a hard time finding plain glass ornaments for a reasonable price, but i found a 40ct tub of plastic ornaments at target for $15. i want to use these so what kind of glue can i use? tacky glue, a hot glue gun…? im going to be gluing things like ribbons, beads, sequins, tracing paper, napkin prints, little silk flowers, etc.
btw i found some glass ornaments on the target website, so what kind of glue can i use on these too?
For the plastic I would use either a hot glue gun or all purpose craft glue. Pretty much anything, but I would NOT recommend school glue, as that isn’t very strong.
For the glass ones I’m less sure, but I would try hot glue. Be careful to make sure that it’s a low temperature hot glue gun though, if it’s too hot you may end up with broken or messed up ornaments. You might check your craft store for a glue that specifically mentions glass.
And on a side note, check out Hobby Lobby if you still need more plain ornaments. They often have very good prices on ornaments.
