What are some fun, cheap ways to treat my horse?
Just looking to do a “spa day” with my horse. 
Anybody have any recipes for horse treats? What are some stretches/messages your horse loves? And, what is the best equine shampoo i could splurge on? (anything else you guys recomend would be lovely )
That is a great idea! Just a down day to let your horse know you love him! Here is easy horse treat recipe:
Baked Carrot Crispies
2 carrots,shredded
1 apple,shredded
1/3 cup molasses
3/4 cup flower
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup bran
3/4 cup oatmeal
directions.
preheat over to 400 degres. Generously grease a muffin tin. MIx carrots and apples into a bowl with molasses.,bran,brown sugar,water,flour and oatmeal. Mixture should have a thick and doughy consistency. Add more bran if needed. Scoop dough into a muffnin tin,sprinkle each muffin with brown sugar and bake in the over for 30-50 minutes until well cooked
Pete’s Peppermint Patties
1/3 cup oats
1/3 cup grain
1/3 cup molasses
1/3 cup flour
Peppermints
Mix all the ingredients except for the peppermints. Take a peppermint and put it in the middle of a ball of the dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 21 minutes. This makes about 8 patties. You may double the recipe as many times as you want.

My horse always loves it when I start with his muzzle and work my way down untill I have scrtched his whole body. I usaully do this for bout 15-20 minutes! Also you could do some trust games and play “Follow The Leader.” My horse always follows me (walk,trot,canter, and jump) and sometimes he will even walk infront of me and trot and such and I will follow him! He loves playing! It may take a while but your horse will get it. Groom him to prefection and let him know you love him! Have lods of fun with your horse and let him know you love him! Have Fun!
